How would you like to own part of Mandango Mountain, a sacred site for the Incas, where they came for healing and shamanic rituals? There are at least three special citrus trees that are used in shamanic medicines as well as a giant avocado tree, ancient guava, native plum, other citrus trees and many cherimoya trees as well as native trees, shrubs and wildflowers. A massive native tree will greet you just after the entrance. It grows fruit that the birds love. Sapodilla trees and a Lucama tree have been planted for future fruits.

This unique property consists of 21 hectares, starting at the peak or “nose” of Mandango, going to the second cross and includes the valley facing west below. Protected by mountain ridges on the west and east and a steep, cliff-like slope to the north, this stunning piece of land offers full privacy and protection from noise and neighbours. No dogs or roosters can be heard and will not be due to the distance of the closest neighbours. Occasionally you might hear see some wild goats.

You will find thousands of butterflies and many beautiful bird species like humminutegbirds who call this home. Create hiking trails on your own land instead of driving out of town.

The private driveway was constructed with hundreds of loads of gravel and concrete and rebar rails to provide proper drainage. The driveway remained in excellent condition during the worst rainy season in 70 years. Only the best quality materials have been used.

The property includes a structural steel framed greenhouse frame, 18x6 meters (approximately 59x20 ft), designed by an aerospace engineer to avoid wind issues. Beside the greenhouse is a natural hole, ideal for a water cistern. Don’t want a greenhouse? It can be finished to be another house.

There is a small, rustic, brick house suitable for tools, generators or a spare cabin.

On an unusually large, grassy flat area there is the partially finished structural steel-framed house. This unique construction was invented by the designer-engineer of the famous Duran hot spring spa in Cuenca. It will not rot, mold or rust away as many of the local houses eventually do. The house is designed to be earthquake proof and sits on very stable ground.

The house was designed using Feng Shui principles for a feeling of harmony and peace. The structural steel frame creates a natural faraday cage. The land contains a lot of quartz rock and there are many pockets of rich, black soil.

There are several areas to build more houses on some of the other flat areas.
